Work on the tear has been progressing at a decidedly “Teardrop Time” rate lately as the weather just wasn’t cooperating. It has been too cold/windy for a while now to put polyurethane on any of the wood. So, I have been building where I could and then setting the parts aside for finishing in the future.

Well, this weekend, the weather changed and I took advantage of the warmth. I disassembled, sanded and prepped everything I could on Saturday and started putting down some finish coats. The ceiling got three full coats and the rest got just one.

So, I started installing the ceiling today and I must say, it doesn’t look too bad at all. However, it looks like the drawers, doors, and trim will have to wait a bit for their finish coats as it is supposed to snow again tonight.
