Drawers & Doors

The drawer faces are on and the drawers are installed. So, I just had to get an idea on how the “kitchen” might look while camping. I think I like it!

Next stop is the electrical I guess. The AC side of things will be pretty simple, three plugins on a single gfi circuit and a battery tender. On the 12v side, I am planning a bit more. I think I am going to go with 2 plugins and a light in the galley and 4 plugins and 3 lights in the cabin. Add to that, the battery, charger, and the running lights and we have a plan.

Galley Drawers

What’s in your drawers? Yeah, kind of a takeoff of the “Whats in your wallet” commercials…

In mine, its a dutch oven, some cast iron pans and sawdust. That’s right! The galley drawers are built and installed. Of course, they need to have the faces installed and get their 3 coats of poly. But they are built! The lights and heat in the garage are making a world of difference. I can actually get things done after work. (Not that I will, but I could). Yeah, short post. I know, but I have another post to do (dinner).

Santa Delivers

In my last post, I put in a little plea for Santa to maybe heat and insulate my garage so I could get some work done during the winter. While he doesn’t install (who knew?) he does deliver. In this case, in the form of a gift certificate and some hardware. So, early the next day, I was off to the big box store to stock up. The first thing on the list was some insulation for the garage door. Then (because he was really nice), I also picked up a couple of 8′ florescent lights and the stuff to wire them up. By the end of the day, it looked like a completely new garage. By the way, just insulating the garage door (I still haven’t got all the drafts blocked) lets me bring up the temperature to the mid 50’s; even with the outside temperature in the mid 20’s. I am running out of excuses!
